The four beaches (Los Tusales, Les Ortigues, La Roqueta and El Moncayo) in Guardamar del Segura have repeatedly received the Blue Flag award for respect for the environment. The total length of the beaches is 17 kilometers. Due to such a wide beach, it is possible to visit the central beach, where there is a lot of communication, entertainment, games, bars, restaurants …, and you can also visit the beaches furthest from the city center, where you can retire, listen to the silence , etc. The microclimate of the coast is very clean, since there are no industrial companies in the town’s territory, instead there are several pine parks in the city, so the air becomes even cleaner.

In Guardamar del Segura there is a natural landmark known throughout the coast, the pine forest of the Dunas de Guardamar. Today, one of the park’s halves is named after King Alfonso XIII, and the other half is named after Queen Sofia. In the magnificent Parque Reina Sofía, next to fountains, walking paths with benches, playgrounds and attractions, there are several clean ponds with fish, swans, ducks and turtles.

The attraction of the city is the castle fortress of Guardamar, which was built in the 9th century by the Arabs for protective purposes. In the castle we can find a cannon, so you can feel the spirit of those distant times of the 9th century. Also from the top of this fortress you can get a beautiful view of the entire town of Guardamar del Segura and a panoramic view of the sea.
